Oh the week of Christmas. Filled with so much happenings. Guess what? I caught it all on film, on an amazing camera which could actually go one whole week without recharging.
It started off with us watching the Nutcracker.

Not that bad, but I was not exactly bowled over either. The way they told the story was very strange, making us read the entire plot on the screen before showing the exact same thing in dance. I guess they had some trouble incorporating the story into the dancing.

After the show, it was time for some delicious chocolate at Max Brenner's.Yummy stuff. Do try the Banana shake, its fantastic. On the other hand, the alcoholic choc's a little strong, so you have to be prepared for it.

Guess who works here?
Andy came too, and it wasn't long before we were having fun with the cam.

Awesome stuff. We rounded the night off with a little trip to the marina barrage. Quite a pretty place, if a bit hard to find.

It was certainly a weekend of art and culture as we attended another play on Sunday. This time invited to by adelyn, who was in fact the director of the play! It was an amazing effort, and we can clearly see the thought invested. Especially towards the songs.

Kudos to you adelyn!

There wasn't a single neoprint machine open, so we headed over to the Balcony for a couple of drinks!

Yup, that was the drink!

Taking mirror pics without the camera in sight? How did he do that! Well my friends, let me just say that angle of incidence = angle of reflection.
Everyday is wonderful because the next day, guess what I did?

It was amazing, and I cant wait to do this again. I love sea sports!

It was Christmas eve the next day,

Meaningful, definitely meaningful.
Well, I don't know if this was the most enjoyable Christmas I have ever had, but I would say that it is certainly the most enriching and meaningful one. I went on to spend Christmas evening with my relatives and later today I'm going for another party with my mother's side. I guess the best part of Christmas is getting to spend time together with your loved ones. I'm not a christian, I don't believe in Santa, I don't even care for decorations. It is the time I spend laughing and connecting with those closest to my heart that warms me and fills me up more than any piping hot beef lasagna ever can.
I want a rollercoaster ride I don't want a slide.

As I creep ever so slowly towards ORDing, so many things come to mind. What do I want to do once I'm free? What do I have to do once I'm free? Where do I want my life to lead?

To begin with the end in mind is one of the things that is important to succeeding. I am not sure if retiring is the same as achieving financial freedom. I mean, both involve not working right?

Well, what I want for myself is to, if it should so strike my fancy, just stop working and not have to worry a thing about sustaining myself. Guess that means that I don't want my job to be my only source of income.

How am I going to do that?

Been a while since I last updated has it?

Well in that time, I went to bintan. I was kind of at zouk the previous day, breaking my covenant. So pretty sleepy the whole trippy.

It was a super idyllic holiday where I watched every show on HBO and Discovery Channel inside the room. Leaving only to go for breakfast, walk to the beach, swim(which I did everyday) and once we visited a nearby town for dinner. Oh, I finally got to windsurf too. It sure has been awhile. Very out of practice, so I fell down alot and got some blisters. Amazingly, that was all! That's seriously the slackest holiday. And I had 4 days of it. Not that I wouldn't like something like that, but my brother was telling me all about the various water sports there and made me all excited.

Speaking of exciting, I ran a marathon yesterday! Oh yes baby, after sleeping for just 4 hours and being out of comission for more than a month with a sprained ankle, and a hurting foot from when I tried to run once before bintan, I went ahead and ran the marathon anyway. In your face progressive training!

But theres' a price to pay. No, I'm not just talking about the registration fee. Both my legs hurt. Really painfully. The muscles are sore and the joints are creaky and I climb up and down stairs without agony. I'm still really happy that I ran though, because that's another item off my list of things to try once. Sucks that I have some sort of parade tomorrow though! No way I can take part in that.

I ran about half of the race with sherwin, who couldn't perform thanks to some bad diarrhoea the day before. There's so much associated with the race, like seeing all sorts of people, like the drinks stations, like what you tell yourself as you run along. But these can't be written down. They have to be experienced to be felt, and I'm glad I got to feel them.

4E1 class gathering the day before. Man I LOVE my class! We can just get together and talk and talk and talk and we're all so nice to each other and damn I miss them and I'm so sorry I had to go off to get some sleep before the marathon.

I'm supposed to meet my PW group today. There's a timing clash! Oh no ):

Hey baby, I didn't die! You must be glad for me. And I'm so very grateful for that!
